Signature Painters were commissioned by the owner to revitalise the home’s exterior paintwork (including all weatherboards and render to the ground level), while keeping the character and original colour scheme of the 140 year old Queenslander style home. Although the property had been previously renovated to a reasonable condition, the exterior was looking dull, weathered and lacked street appeal.
The entire exterior was thoroughly cleaned and carefully prepared with a high attention to detail to ensure a perfectly smooth finish throughout, including the removal of loose paint and debris, priming, filling and sealing. Two coats of Dulux Weathershield Exterior were then applied to ensure a long-lasting finish, while Dulux AcraTex AcraShield was used on the ground level render.
The primary challenge we experienced was gaining access and installing scaffolding to paint the side of the two storey home, given the extremely close proximity of the neighbouring property. Our team of experts found a creative solution to this problem, and the project was executed to a standard beyond the owner’s expectations over a span of six weeks.
