The Amora Group purchased Amora Brisbane, a former Novotel, in 2020 and embarked on the hotel’s full refurbishment in 2023. With 296 suites located over 14 floors, plus 11 separate function and meeting spaces over 1148 square metres, this was a massive $30 million project.

Signature Painters was engaged to deliver all the interior paintwork throughout the hotel, expertly executing the sophisticated colour palette envisioned by interior designer Cottee Parker.

Our team completed the internal painting in all rooms and function areas, including ceilings, walls, doors and trims (and literally miles of hallways!) in a tight timeframe. Working efficiently around various other trades, our painters achieved a meticulous finish without compromising quality in just 6 days per floor.

Natural and light colours were used throughout the different areas of the hotel, including Dulux Grey Pebble Half, Vivid White, Heifer, Light Rice Quarter, Lexicon, and Candlebark. Out team expertly cut in black trims against the light neutrals and contrasting substrates, including working at height in soaring lightwells.

The final result is a stunning transformation! The greenery, natural light and tones, and a tradition-meets-contemporary approach give this Brisbane CBD hotel a relaxed, sophisticated vacation feel.
