After the owners purchased the property, Signature Painters were commissioned to undertake a full restoration of the home’s exterior, while keeping the traditional character and colour scheme.
The home was in very poor condition and required extensive preparation before any painting works could be completed. Fake colorbond timber cladding had been screwed into the old existing weatherboards that were covered in flaking lead-based paint. The lead paint was safely removed by our experienced team using Haymes Peel Away 8 paint stripper, with extra care taken given the owners had two young children. All the window frames also required reglazing.
Once the exterior home had been carefully prepared throughout, our team applied Dulux Weathershield Exterior for a smooth and long-lasting finish. The owners were amazed with the transformation of the home and its restoration back to its original glory, and felt it now looked like the nicest house in their street. The project was completed over a span of four weeks.
