After they purchased the property, the owners commissioned Signature Painters to undertake a full restoration of the exterior and to transform their home with a modern colour scheme.
The home was initially in a very poor and rundown condition, with significant preparation required to strip away multiple layers of flaking lead paint from all over the house using Haymes Peel Away 8 paint stripper. The surfaces on the weatherboards were also very uneven, and we carefully skimmed the majority to bring it back to a mirror-like finish. The front deck had rotted and was replaced with a hardwood timber, however we had to ensure there was no tannin bleeding which would cause stains in the paint by applying three coats of an oil based stain block first.
Once the home had been carefully prepared ready for painting, our team intricately executed the striking black and white colour scheme using Dulux Weathershield Exterior Semi Gloss for a smooth and long-lasting finish.
The owners were very impressed with the stunning transformation of their home and its new street appeal, which was completed over a period of three weeks.
