Signature Painters completed the exterior paintwork of this beautiful Milton Queenslander, transforming its tired lemon exterior with a modern, light neutral colour scheme featuring charcoal and white trim.
Our work included exterior weatherboards, timber windows, doors, stairs, balustrades and garage door, soffits, balcony ceilings, facias, gutters and downpipes. With some areas in poor condition, thorough preparation was essential to create the right foundation for beautiful, long-lasting paintwork.
Our preparation involved cleaning down surfaces, removing loose paint, and taking timber surfaces back to bare where necessary. Timbers were then spot primed, imperfections and rot were filled, and spot primed again. This was followed by sanding, dusting then undercoating using top-quality oil-based primer sealer undercoat for maximum adhesion.
Finally, we applied two coats of Dulux Weathershield to all surfaces. Semi-gloss was chosen for the weatherboards to achieve a high-end finish with a beautiful sheen.
As you can see, the end result looks great and will last for years. This home shows how paint and colour can really transform a Queenslander’s street appeal – from dated cottage to modern classic!
