Signature Painters completed the full interior and exterior painting of this original Queenslander as well as its modern new extension. As the ‘before’ photos show, the original weatherboards needed a lot of preparation, requiring restoration and painting skills to bring them back to as-new condition.

Before commencing any painting, the entire exterior was thoroughly cleaned and carefully prepared. Our team safely removed flaking paint by stripping much of the timber back to bare boards using specialist techniques to avoid dust and contaminants. Surfaces were then thoroughly filled, sanded, skimmed and undercoated to get a perfect foundation. Finally, two coats of Dulux Weathershield Exterior were applied with high attention-to-detail to ensure a long-lasting finish.

Our work on the new part of the exterior included painting weatherboards, soffits and ceiling, timber stairs, ballastrades and window shades.

Inside, we restored and repainted ceilings, walls, and woodwork, including VJ paneling and the original French doors, to a beautiful, high-end finish.

While the owners chose a colour scheme that was not dramatically different, it still transformed the home’s street appeal and beautifully complements the home’s features!
