Located within the heritage-listed MacArthur Chambers building in the Brisbane CBD, the flagship MacArthur Central Apple Store required a full interior repaint to refresh the overall appearance. With normal trading needing to continue during the day, a team of our highly experienced staff worked throughout the night over three evenings to execute this project on a tight timeline.
We carefully prepared all interior surfaces taking particular care with the heritage decorative features on the ceiling and trims. Dulux Wash and Wear 101 was applied to refresh all walls and columns inside the building, while Dulux Aquanamel was used on all trims. These hardwearing and durable paints were chosen to ensure a long-lasting result given the high volume of traffic the store receives.
Given the high ceilings, 19-foot scissor lifts were required to access all surfaces and safely work at heights in the building. Our painters gained access to the building at 6pm each day and all equipment needed to be brought in, assembled and dismantled daily. Careful protection of all desks and electronics, along with extensive clean up at the end of each night’s work, was also undertaken by our team to allow the store to trade as normal throughout the repaint.
Our team successfully overcame the access and logistical challenges to complete the project to a high standard and ahead of schedule.
