Signature Painters undertook a full exterior restoration and repaint of this Queenslander in Holland Road, Holland Park. With a very dated colour scheme harking back to the 80s, the owners chose a fresh crisp white and grey-blue to banish the muddy old look.

Our crew meticulously repainted all parts of the house, including weatherboards, fascias, gutters, downpipes, doors, windows sills and shades, staircase, carport and front fence. We chose semi-gloss for the weatherboards and high-gloss for the windows and woodwork to give the exterior a glowing, high-end finish.

As the ‘before’ photos show, this house underwent very thorough preparation and paint coverage. Before our painting began, our team firstly completely washed down the house, then stripped back blistered areas of the windows and weatherboards to bare timber. This was followed by substantial sanding, filling, patching, priming and undercoating to restore the surfaces – crucial to achieving a high-quality result.

Our work also included roof repainting, firstly treating rust and then applying semi-gloss roof paint to achieve an as-new finish.

The photos show the transformation that was achieved by this beautiful smooth, hard-wearing new finish and colour scheme. The owner is thrilled with the results, and so are we – one can imagine the likely value added to the property!
