Signature Painters completed the exterior painting of this Lota Queenslander cottage, bringing the owners’ vision to life with a contemporary neutral colour scheme.
The owners had tried to paint the the house themselves, but soon realised a professional was needed. Signature Painters was engaged to paint the full exterior, including weatherboards, fascia, gutters, downpipes, gable, soffits, timber screening, and the Colorbond roof.
Before starting preparation and painting, the house and roof were professionally washed with cleaning solutions to remove dirt, grime, and mould. The exterior was then carefully prepared to achieve a smooth finish, which involved stripping the weatherboards back to bare timber, raking the windows, removing loose putty and rot, treating the rust on the roof, and performing meticulous undercoating, sanding, patching, filling, and sealing with top-quality products.
Our team used a combination of Dulux Weathershield and Wattyl Solagard paints, renowned for their durability in the Queensland climate. Two coats were applied to ensure a durable finish, with semi-gloss used on both the weatherboards and roof to give a beautiful sheen.
The exterior now has the fresh, relaxed look the owners desired, and the new paintwork and colour scheme have completely transformed the property’s street appeal.
Only the best Queenslander specialist painters can achieve such a high standard of finish on these classic weatherboard homes. Contact us if you’d like a quote.
